Ben Sweeting has been a leading podiatrist in Brisbane since graduating with first-class honours from QUT in 2004. With a career spanning two decades, Ben has developed an interest in challenging biomechanical foot and lower limb disorders, as well as complex sports injury rehabilitation.

Elite Sports & Community Involvement Ben’s clinical reputation is built on his work within the high-performance sports medicine community. A significant career highlight was his selection as one of only eight podiatrists nationwide to provide care for elite athletes at the 2018 Commonwealth Games polyclinic. Ben also served as the team podiatrist for the Queensland Firebirds and Netball QLD athletes from 2018 to 2023.

Advanced Clinical Knowledge As a former owner and consultant for a major foot orthoses laboratory, Ben offers a wealth of knowledge in orthotic therapy and biomechanical analysis. His skill set is further enhanced by qualifications in dry needling and prolotherapy. He remains an active member of the Australian Podiatry Association, Sports Medicine Australia (SMA), and Sports & Exercise Podiatry Australia (SEPA).

When he isn’t in the clinic, Ben is likely running, training, or chasing his two children around the soccer field.

Caitlin Spencer

Caitlin Spencer’s passion for podiatry began as a patient in a high-level sports practice, where she experienced firsthand the impact of quality clinical care. Today, she brings that same dedication to her patients at our Carina podiatry clinic.

Research-Driven Care Caitlin is committed to staying at the forefront of podiatric science. Her award-winning research focused specifically on the importance of appropriate running shoes, a project that earned her the National Australian Podiatry prize for Best Scientific Research Poster. This deep understanding of footwear mechanics and gait analysis allows her to provide highly precise treatment plans for athletes and active individuals alike.

On-Field Experience Caitlin remains deeply involved in the local sporting community, continuing to play football and volunteering weekly as an accredited Level One Sports Trainer. Having navigated her own sports injuries, she values the role of detailed gait analysis and specialised rehabilitation in the recovery process.

Caitlin is an active member of the Australian Podiatry Association (APodA) and Sports Medicine Australia (SMA), ensuring her clinical skills remain sharp and up-to-date with the latest industry developments.

Claire Mills

Claire Mills’ journey in podiatry spans decades and continents, shaped by clinical experience in Hong Kong and Canberra before she made Brisbane home in 2003. Today, she brings that wealth of international and local expertise to her patients, combining a passion for musculoskeletal medicine with a genuine commitment to individualised care.

Specialist Expertise

Claire has developed extensive skills across lower extremity biomechanics, sports injuries, rehabilitation, paediatric podiatry, and the care of young dancers. Driven by a desire to continually enhance outcomes for her clients, she pursued and completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture, adding another powerful tool to her clinical practice. She particularly thrives on managing complex cases, believing that every patient’s situation is unique and deserves a tailored treatment plan.

Elite Sports Experience

Throughout her career, Claire has served as a consultant podiatrist for elite sports teams, including the Canberra Raiders and ACT Brumbies, as well as athletes from the Academy of Sport and the Australian Institute of Sport. This high-performance background gives her a deep understanding of the demands placed on the body and the precision required in rehabilitation and injury management.

Claire is an active member of the Australian Podiatry Association (APodA), Sports Medicine Australia (SMA), and the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA), ensuring her clinical skills remain sharp and aligned with the latest industry developments.
