About Ben
Ben Sweeting
B Hlth Sc (Podiatry)(Hons), BSc, MAPodA
Ben is an experienced podiatrist who has been practising in Brisbane since graduating from QUT with 1st class honours in 2004. Ben has specialised interests in challenging biomechanical foot and lower limb disorders as well as sports injuries and rehabilitation. He has a passion for the profession and is active within the sports medicine community, holding memberships with the Australian Podiatry Association, Sports & Exercise Podiatry Australia (SEPA) and Sports Medicine Australia (SMA).
As the former owner of and clinical consultant for one of Australia’s largest foot orthoses laboratories, Ben brings to SAF Podiatry a wealth of knowledge on foot orthotic therapy. He also has qualifications in dry needling and prolotherapy.

Ben has presented at several conferences and seminars to fellow podiatrists nationally and has been involved with the QUT podiatry student program.
A career highlight for Ben was volunteering at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Ben was 1 of 8 Podiatrists selected across the country to provided podiatric care for elite athletes in the polyclinic located within the athlete’s village. He has been the team podiatrist for the Queensland Firebirds and Netball Qld athletes for seasons 2018-2023
Ben remains active by running and training at the gym as well as chasing his 2 children around the soccer field on weekends. Outside work, Ben has a passion for landscape photography.

Growing up in Newcastle as a patient of a Sports Podiatry practice, Caitlin first hand has reaped the benefits of high level podiatry care, inspiring her to follow in these footsteps carving her interest in the profession.
Caitlin has been involved in a range of individual and team sports at a State and National Level and continues to play football locally. She also volunteers weekly as an accredited Level One Sports Trainer.
Having experienced multiple injuries first hand, Caitlin deeply values the role of quality orthotics, detailed gait analysis, and specialised injury rehabilitation.
Caitlin has further developed her expertise by completing a Bachelor of Health Science (First Class Honours), with research focused on the importance of appropriate running shoes.
“Won a National Australian Podiatry prize for Best Scientific Research Poster”
Her project managed to win a National Australian Podiatry prize for Best Scientific Research Poster in 2023 and a College Medal, awarded to the student with the highest GPA in each program from the College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing.
She regularly attends conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in her field, ensuring her knowledge and skills remain sharp. Caitlin is a current member of multiple governing bodies within the profession including Australian Podiatry Association (APodA), Sports & Exercise Podiatry Australia (SEPA) and Sports Medicine Australia (SMA).
Alongside her commitment to providing high-quality care, Caitlin is known for her precision in treatment, striving to ensure that every patient feels they have received the highest level of attention and care.
